Foalings for 2011

We did preg checks last week to confirm pregnancies for 2011.


Zinosa (Tango/Purioso) to Johnson due May 4th

Virtual Rose (Idocus/Quattro) to Sandreo due May 7th

Waltzalina (Jet Set/Haarlem) to Sandreo due May 8th

Veganieta (Jazz/Zeoliet) to due Contango May 19th

Virginia (Welt Hit II/Zeoliet) to due Sandreo June 16th

Vuzarma (Hamlet/Purioso) to due ELDORADO v d ZESHOEK July 4th

Florentina (Floristan/ Phonix) open

We are excited about the expected foals. We have three Sandreo breedings and we think we can not have too many Sandreo foals. This is based on our Sandreo offspring we have worked with and enjoyed. This includes Bastion (Sandreo/Floristan), Calypso (Sandreo/Jazz), and Crispin (Sandreo/Jet Set).

We are looking forward to another Contango/Jazz foal and would be pleased with either another colt or a filly which would have potential to stay in the herd as a broodmare.

The Eldorado/Hamlet will be our first by this young stallion. This is an opportunity to bring both Clinton and Heartbreaker genetics to our program. This a young stallion which has already made quite an impression.

The Tango/Johnson will bring double Jazz breeding. This breeding is a bit of a gamble but doubling up on great breeding lines can give great results or not so great! We will see but another Tango would be a great addition.


With six mares in foal for next year we can plan on some sleepless nights and some great foals. Between now and next spring we will have get our breeding plans in place. We now have a "wish list" for 2011 breedings which is highly influenced by previous breedings.
