Located in the lush rolling hills of Prince Edward Island, New Perth Farm's goal is to breed upper level quality warmblood horses with amateur friendly temperaments. Vuzarma - champion at keuring. Vuzarma In this first of our regular newsletters we will feature our foundation mare Vuzarma (known as Charlie around the barn). Purchased as a filly in our first buying trip to the Netherlands in 2003, she is from a Purioso mare and her sire is Hamlet. Vuzarma Hamlet Nimmerdor Dirbaldia W Elzarma Purioso Rizarma   Vuzarma free jumping Hamlet is not only by the famous Nimmerdor but also is the sire of the Olympic Champion Hickstead. Her mare line is the highly productive "Zarma" line Click here for more information on the 'Zarma' line Vuzarma was awarded ster mare status with KWPN-NA where she was also Champion Jumper at the New England keuring. These breed awards reflects her correct conformation and jumping ability. Click here for video from her KWPN keuring where she was awarded Champion 3 year old Jumper  She was uncomplicated to start under saddle as a 3 year old and has been a full time broodmare since 3 years of age.  She has 7 foals on the ground, all by frozen semen from stallions that are competing or have competed at the international level at Grand Prix show jumping. Concorde foals Charlton NPF with Jason Berry Vuzarma produced two foals by the Grand Prix stallion  Concorde (Voltaire x Marco Polo) . Her 2007 foal, originally Charlton NPF, now re-named Ignite is ridden by with Jason Berry in Virginia.  He is currently winning at 1.30m.  He displays the co-operative temperament consistent in Vuzarma's foals. His jumping ability has incredible scope and correct mechanics. Charlton NPF with Jason Berry    Ellazarma NPF is a mare by Concorde out of  Vuzarma that has remained locally on Prince Edward Island with her owner Kelly Snowdon at her Quiet Company Farm.  Ellazarma NPF jumping at Quiet Company Farm   Verdi foals Vuzarma has produced two foals by the 2014 WEG Team Show Jumping Gold Medalist Verdi (Quidam de Revel x Langraf I) Desarma NPF (by Verdi out of Vuzarma) has developed into a talented mare. Desarma as a foal Desarma with her dam Fizzarma NPF  (by Verdi out of Vuzarma) won the KWPN-NA Clayborne Cup as the highest scoring three year old in the North American Dutch  Warmblood  keurings.  Fizzarma NPF with owner Lisa McGillivray Eldorado van de Zeshoek foals Currently competing at the Grand Prix level, Eldorado (Clinton x Toulon) is proving to be an excellent sport horse as well as sire.  He is sire of of the upcoming Grandorado. Vuzarma has 2 foals by this stallion. The 2011 foal, G Man NPF,  is four year old and is well started under saddle in Ontario. For video of G Man as a foal click here. Click here for video of Island Boy     Island Boy NPF Summer 2014 Quality Time foals Quality Time (Quantumx Cantuns) is currently competing at the Grand Prix level with several wins in Europe. His latest achievement includes a top ten placing at CSI Dortmund. The 2014 filly  Jazarma NPF is Vuzarma's first foal by Quality Time. She is currently offered for sale. Foals for 2015 We are expecting 6 foals at New Perth Farms this spring.  We will have foal by Canabis Z this year, which is our first time using this exciting jumper stallion.  We were very happy with our foals from previous mare/stallion combinations in previous years, so we have full siblings of those successful foals coming as well.
